Fishing Notes

The last week has seen a big change in weather and for the most part it is helping the fishing. On Wednesday the weather was cloudy and warm and the water was in the 80’s. Fishing was good around rocks and logs shallow. With fifteen bass and five keepers. Squair bill, jigs and chatterbaits. I even had a big flathead around 35 lbs on a jig.
Saturday was a change in weather, it was 46 % at 6:am by 8:Am it was 50 clearing and lite wind. I started out on creek points with jigs. The action was fast for the first few hours and then the bite slowed. With twelve bass in the boat and 7 keeper it was a good trip. By 10:Am it had changed I didn’t see shad on the points so I looked shallower but didnt find them thier. Over all the weather will move the shad back in the creeks and should get them shallower in the next few days or weeks. Im looking forward to the weeks to come for fishing the Lake or River. As much as I like to fish shallow I’ll keep my eye on the bluff points on main lake. On windy day with clouds the points can be hot spots for big spinnerbaits and crankbaits fishing.
