Main lake points 6mm, feeder creeks with main channel swinging by from 3-6mm, 3/4 to the back of creeks, fishing docks on east side of creeks with sun on them. Seemed like these areas had best water clarity as we fished areas from 15mm-3mm. All areas had shad present.

Fishing Notes

Made the trip from Iowa on Friday 1st visit to this beautiful lake. Saturday started out on a main lake point around the 6 MM that we caught 2 keepers on the previous afternoon and caught 1 keeper LM. Made a run across the lake and tried a bluff point we caught a few short fish on the previous day with no bites. Made an adjustment and ran 3/4 to the back of a feeder creek that the main river channel swung by and started fishing docks. Caught 1 keeper off the backside of a dock with the buzzbait. Was throwing the buzzbait between docks and then caught a keeper largemouth off the front of a dock corner on a green pumpkin brush hog and my brother caught a short Kentucky off of the same dock corner with the buzzbait. Thought that maybe the docks might be the ticket so started skipping the docks with the brush hog and catching fish, mostly on the backside where the walkway meets the dock under the cables. Finished the day Saturday with 9 keepers and one short fish. Best 5 went 11-12 lbs. Did catch one keeper on a 1oz Jig in 20ft of water in front of a dock that I was able to find a brush pile with my electronics.
