Went down to the dock today and from my elevated view I saw plenty of bluegill, carp, drum all sunning and big gizzard shad working the rocks, I then saw a couple more fish sunning, both of them look to be good 3 lb bass, first keeper size bass I have seen in pocket since spring. So I got the urge to go out this evening, ended up with 2 keepers and another keeper get off trying to get him over cable. Caught fish on banks leading into pockets, nothing in back of pockets and nothing in the very back of the cove although the shad were there. Side note: buddy had a 5 and a 4 with some other nice fish Saturday on white spinnerbait up around Bollinger creek |
