Fishing Notes |
---|
We ran up the Osage to cartwright cove. The water was stained and 57 deg’s. We fished from the back to the mouth of the coves. Most of the keepers can on jigs and tubes in five to the bank. Peagravel bank seem to be the ones that day. The day started out cloudy and no wind. The bite was slow early but started to pick up about nine thirty. after a few fish we go into a good pattern. We fished the more stained water hoping to find the fish shallower once the sun came out. About one thirty or two in the afternoon I think the current picked up and they droped the lake. This must have pulled the fish of the bank and fishing slowed. We tried main lake points and channel swings but had no luck. Wednesday I was Crappie fishing down at the dam and it was bad. Only one crappie in fifteen foot of water over thirty foot. I looked for them on the bank, around brush, points and coves. We fished shallow, deep and every thing else. I don’t know but I think them pulling the lake down pulled the fish out. |
