Went out of pb2 at 5:30 and fished till dark. Had 4 keepers in a hour, 2 on a davenport special jig and 2 on spooks on shaded banks with docks. Bite slowed down so moved to paralleling a bluff bank with spook with few shorts. Then moved to a small deeper cut right before dark and threw spook to small pile in back of cut and 3.5 to 4 lber jumped all over it and broke my line that had a bad spot down in reel, watched her jump couple times to throw it and never did so anyone catch a nice one with a bone spook jr in her can I have my spook back, LOL. So switched to a Redfin and worked out of cut and caught a real nice 4.5 to 5 lber to end the evening. Water is pretty darn clear now, might change with boat traffic this weekend. |
