Fishing Notes |
---|
Hit the water at six in the morning and about ten minuets into it here comes the rain! Hit some main lake docks with the spook with no go. Decided to hit a bluff end that had some wind blowing in on it. Caught the first 4 pounder on the third cast with the spook a nice post spawn female. She just about came all the way out of the water to hit the bait. I figured out that they wanted the spook MOVING fast! You practically had to leave a trail of fire behind the bait to get a strike but when you got one they would hammer it! I got the second 4 pounder traveling down the same bluff about ten minuets later burning the spook across the surface and she inhaled it. I picked up a couple nice small keepers and several more short fish along the way doing the same thing. The top water bite died on me about 9:00. Pitched the zoom worm around some main lake docks with brush and pulled up a couple of short fish. I hit a couple more main lake docks with the spinner bait up by Hurricane Deck and got a nice 3 1/2 out of a brush pile in about 4 feet of water and picked up a couple more short fish. |
