Fishing Notes |

Today I went out for a few hours to try to locate some schools of big fish on the electronics. During sunny days this time of year I rarely like to make a cast until I can see fish below the boat. There still seems to be a lot of fish hanging out shallow, but on a few select current spots you can find fish schooled up on “ledges”. I was able to locate several good schools of big fish, but only made two casts today since I am practicing for a tournament this weekend. On my first spot I made one cast and caught a small keeper. On the next school I made one cast and caught a 5. After that I continued to graph as many points and deep spots with history as I could. Most of these spots were empty as the fish are just starting to get out deep, but I was able to locate a few pods of big fish. |
