Fishing Notes |
---|
Got on the lake for about an hour or so Sunday evening and fished a couple of points that are reliable spots for me. I caught three solid keepers with the largest being just under 5 pounds. Fished from about 6:30 to 2 on Monday with the intent of fishing all new spots to expand on the few places that I know well. The wind was pretty strong out of the S/SW all day long and it really cut down on the fishable areas. I primarily wanted to work the worm and jig and it was impossible on the North banks. I kind of had a route planned from the 2 MM to about the 14 MM, but I went away from some of it because of the wind. It was fairly slow at times but I was able to get a nice limit with the largest being 4 1/2 pounds, and I feel like I located a few new rocky areas deep and off the bank, but did not find them piled up like I would have hoped. The best bite was on the magnum sized trick worm, but I also got several quality fish on a Keitech swimbait. In hindsight I probably should have thrown the swimbait more. |
