Fishing Report For Week Ending February 14, 2014

There is not much to report this week as most of the lake is frozen over.  The water temperature at the dam is 35 degrees.  The winter draw done is complete with the lake holding at 654.  The river below Bagnell Dam is accessible and fishable.  The river level is low so be careful of some areas where it shallows out relatively quickly.  Look for indentions in the bank as there are ditches out from the bank in these areas.  These are the areas that have been holding fish. Try jigs, grubs on a jig head, A-Rigs and spoons.  The fish have been holding just off the bottom in 14-20 feet of water.

The weather this coming week is forecasted to have a few days in the 50’s and perhaps another in the 60’s.  We should begin to see the ice begin to melt and break up.
