Crappie moved on up

Man O Man the big Black Crappie have moved up shallow!!!! This week Wayne, Ben Jim, and myself were able to get out for a few days to get a piece of this action. Were all using balsa wood corks. all using diffrent baits from baby shad, hair jigs, and lake fork jigs as bait. The crappie seem to want to be in pea gravel indents in the bank. anywhere you can find these indents with direct wind and some sun shine you will probably catch them. In overcast conditions it seems like they are just off the bank a bit further so you have to raise your cork up to about 2-3 foot up on your bait. For the most part we have been setting our corks at 1 foot to a 2 at the most sometimes in the evenings even 6 inches!!! toll bridge to the dam seems to be best area. Get your corks, find some good pea gravel indents around secondary points and have a blast!!!!
