Crappie And Catfish

Crappie fishing on LOZ has been pretty stable id say. The fish seem to be around the main lake, bluffs in particular. Trolling Crankbaits, and Flicker shads along bluffs has been a good way to catch bigger fish and some numbers as well. You need at least 30-40 feet under the boat, and need to be trolling in about 15 foot. I love fishing big shady docks in the summer time as well. It is a similar location to the bluff trolling. You wanna find big docks on the main lake and fish with Bobby Garland Baby Shad baits. Blue Ice and Monkey Milk have been and will always be a good choice. The fish will suprise you on some of these docks they might be right under the foam or suspended in about 15 foot under. There again the depth i like to see under the boat is at least 30 foot of water. If you have some deep brush around the main lake that would also be a good place to take a look as well. The Catfish in the lake are on fire. From Blue Cats to Flat heads there really biting strong. Cut bait like Skip Jack, Shad, and Bluegill have been best. They also are being targeted right in the mouth of coves. Having deep water around. 20-30 foot is a good depth for them. Jugs have worked really good. Local Guide Jack Uxa reported on our experts video fishing jugs baited at 20 foot of water over 50-60 foot has worked best for him. If i had to comment on the Bass fishing id say go Catfishing or Crappie Trolling, because bass fishing STINKS right now!!!!!
