Bassing Bob Tournament Scheduled For Saturday February 15, 2014 Is Cancelled And Rescheduled For Saturday February 22, 2014

Due to the considerable thick ice throughout the lake, the Bassing Bob Winter Bass Challenge scheduled for February 15, 2014, is being rescheduled to Saturday February 22nd, 2014.    As you can see from the pictures below, the lake is still very frozen.  While there is some warmer weather on the way this week, after conferring with many long term anglers from around the lake, we feel that the possibility of the lake and coves thawing in time to have an enjoyable and safe tournament, while possible is slim.

The weather next week is predicted to be warm, with some rains and the 22nd is predicted to a warm and nice day.  Let’s all hope that the forecasters are right on this so that we can fish the final winter tournament of this series.  

The tournament will take off from Robins Resort at 8:00AM with weigh-in at 3:30PM at Robins Resort.   We will crown and pay out a tournament champion for the series, all other payouts will remain the same as each of the previous 3 tournaments.

Lastly, PB2 will be closed on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd for the annual Polar Plunge event.  However, Robins Resort a ramp and ample parking for trailers.   Several of their trailer parking areas however, will require that you un-hitch your boat and park your vehicle on their resort parking lot.  For those that park their trailer and vehicle on the Robins trailer parking at the top of the hill leading into Robins, Bassing Bob will provide transport down to the resort area and back after the tournament so that you do not need to walk up and down the hill.
