Big Bass Bash Pro Division
For the first time in Big Bass Bash history, professional anglers that don’t qualify to fish the Big Bass Bash tournament will be able to join in the fun by participating in a separate Pro-Division. This year, Bassing Bob, in cooperation with Anglers in Action, is sponsoring the Big Bass Bash Pro-Division with a guaranteed First Place Big Bass grand prize of $5,000! The tournament pays to four places with an additional prize opportunity for Top Total Weight, the combined weight of the biggest fish on Saturday and the biggest fish on Sunday.
Anglers that do not qualify for the Big Bass Bash tournament are eligible for the Pro-Division, including fishing guides, tournament anglers, professional fishermen, and amateur fishermen. Cost to participate is $200 for one day, Saturday or Sunday, or $300 for two days, Saturday and Sunday. If you initially register and pay for only Saturday, then decide you want to fish on Sunday, your registration fee for Sunday will be $200. No refunds will be given to anglers who pay for two days, but fish only one.
To register online or download a registration form for the Bassing Bob Big Bass Bash Pro-Division, visit BassingBob.com and click on the “Tournaments” tab. Registrations sent by mail must be postmarked by March 24, 2014. From Friday, March 31 – Thursday, April 3, 2014, anglers can register in person at Fitz Fishing Tackle & Supplies or at Osage Bait & Tackle.
On Friday, April 4 from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., anglers wishing to register can do so by visiting the Bassing Bob tent at Public Beach # 2 (PB2). Anglers can also register on Friday, April 4 by visiting Fitz Fishing Tackle & Supplies during regular store hours, where Bassing Bob will be serving hotdogs and refreshments. On Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6, registrations will be accepted at the Bassing Bob tent starting at 5:30 a.m. Registration for each of those days will close one hour after the start of the tournament.
Amateur-level anglers registered for the Big Bass Bash may also register to participate in the Pro-Division for an extra chance to win up to $5000!
