Nauti Fish Open Buddy Bass Tournament + Nauti Fish Competition
Eligibility:
All individuals who have paid the appropriate entry fee. Anglers under 16 may compete as a non-boater. Anglers under 16 must be accompanied by a boater who is their legal guardian or have a waiver and consent signed by their legal guardian.
Entry Fee:
Bass Tournament- $125 per boat includes Big Bass. Entries will be accepted in person at the ramp beginning at 5:00AM, by mail or online. All entries submitted within 48 hours of the tournament must be in person and pay by cash only, including at the ramp registrations. No more than 2 people per boat. Nauti Fish (junk fish) entry- $25 per person
Tournament Hours:
Take off will be at 7:00 a.m.(or at earliest safe time) and weigh in at 3:00 p.m. All fish must be caught during the tournament hours.
Take-Off and Weigh-in:
Nauti Fish Bar & Grill. Take off will be determined by the sequence in which entry fees are received.
Tackle and Equipment:
A. Bass: Only artificial baits may be used. Pork style baits will be allowed.
B. Nauti Fish: Anglers will NOT be allowed to use live bait. Dough and cut baits will be allowed for Nauti Fish only.
Multi-rigs Restricted:
Multi bait rigs (i.e. Alabama Rig, Yumbrella, etc.) are restricted from use. Should you have any questions about your bait being considered a multi-rig bait, check with tournament officials prior to take-off. Anyone caught fishing with a multi rig bait will immediately be disqualified from the tournament.
No Trolling:
All fish must be caught on a rod and reel.
Boats and Motors:
Any boat 14 feet or longer will be accepted. Boats must have a functional live well and a functional kill switch. No trailering during tournament hours.
Safety and Sportsmanship:
Safe boating and fishing practices must be observed. Life jackets must be worn at any time the big motor is running. All Missouri Department of Conservation and Missouri State Water Patrol regulations and laws apply. Alcohol is not permitted in a contestant’s boat during tournament hours..
Permitted Fishing Locations:
There will be no fishing allowed from point to point and inside of the coves of Pa He Tsi, PB#2 and the two coves to the right/south of PB#2.
Short Fish/ Dead Fish Penalty:
Any fish brought to the scales that is dead will result in a 1 pound deduction of your total weight. Any fish brought to the scales that is under the specified length will result in a 1 pound deduction of your total weight, plus the loss of that fish.
Protest: Must be filed 15 minutes after weigh-in.
Ties:
Ties for final standings and pay-outs will be broken by biggest bass weighed-in. In the event there is still a tie, the tie will then be broken based on earliest registration.
Scoring and Payout:
Largemouth and Smallmouth bass 15” in length or larger and Spotted bass 12” in length or larger will be scored. 5 Fish limit. Payout pot is 90% of all tournament entry fees collected.
Check in Late Penalty: 1 pound per minute up to 10 minutes, then disqualification. No excuses.
Polygraph:
Each contestant agrees by his or her signature on the application to submit to a polygraph test. Tournament directors will determine who will take the test. Refusal to take or failure to pass the test will result in disqualification and forfeiture of your entry fees.
Weather:
Tournament is subject to cancellation or delay prior to take off time at the discretion of the tournament committee. In the event that the tournament is cancelled, each team will receive a full refund of entry fees paid.
Nauti Fish Competition:
In addition to the Bass Tournament we will also hold a Nauti Fish competition. The angler that brings in the heaviest fish of any species wins the pot. This competition is open to anglers outside of the bass fishing tournament, as well as the anglers who are in the tournament. $25 per person entry fee. 100% payback to the winner. Fish must be caught on rod and reel during official tournament hours. Nauti Fish may be brought to the scales at anytime during the day. Fish must be alive when brought to the scales.
Registration:
You may pre-register for the tournament at Fitz Fishing or at Nauti Fish up until Friday October 9th. You may also register at Nauti Fish prior to take-off. Checks for entry will not be accepted the morning of the tournament.
