Today 116 boats took off in low 30’s temperature from PB2, while the weather was cold the wind was moderate with only a few periods of rain, so overall if prepared, not too uncomfortable. Most of the top bags and big fish came on a variety of baits, but most were the A-Rig. Other baits also caught big fish including top water baits, the buzz bait and the whopper plopper, crank baits around big rocks and over brush piles, the jig (bottom baits), jerkbait and the spinner bait also caught quality fish. A lot of the quality fish were caught from the toll bridge to the dam on main lake points, secondary points, back parts of coves and behind docks. Some of the quality bass came off of concrete walkway and dock supports. Overall this is typical fall fishing with a hint of transition to winter. Fish are from right on the bank to out to 10-15′ especially if the 10′ plus water has brush on it. The shallower fish are being caught on banks with big rocks.
