Most anglers today reported that the bite was a bit tough as the cold front that came through the lake area moved the fish and slowed the bite. However, as usual on Lake of the Ozarks this time of the year, there will always be fisherman that figure them out and catch some big bags. Today, BassingBob Pro Advisor, Dirk Sluyter and Jason Williams whacked the biggest bag of keepers to date this year with 25.22 pounds, that is a monster sack of fish. Dirk reported catching his fish on the Dirk’s jig, fishing around spawning pockets with most of the bites coming well off the bank in 7′-12′ of water. James Dill, BassingBob Expert Advisor and John Sapper reported catching their 3rd place bag of fish on the Crock-o-Gator Jig in Ozark Craw color. James also reported that the fish had changed from last weekend and moved off the banks a bit and seemed to want the jig more today than the spinner bait or crankbaits. Many of the fisherman that I talked to reported similar bite on the jig, however some of the money winners today also reported getting bit on the spinner bait, jerk bait and wiggle wart. |
