Tournament Notes

Most anglers with top weights reported catching their fish on main lake points, bluff ends and ledges, taking advantage of the current that started to flow through the dam about 10:30. The primary baits were deep diving crank baits, swim baits, jigs, shaky head worms and spoons. Some anglers reported catching some quality fish flipping behind docks with a worm, creature baits and jigs. The lower end was a pretty good area this weekend for the current related fish on moving baits at the water is clearer, while other areas of the lake are getting a bit stained due the current flow bringing dirtier water from the river area of the lake, BassingBob’s Rob Bueltmann and Ben Verhoef, finished 4th. They had the top weight of the tournament with 21.16 pounds, however one of their fish died in the live well which resulted in a 1 pound penalty.
