Great Lakes angler, Mike Feldermann from Chicago won the FLW BFL Regional today on Lake of the Ozarks. 170 boaters and 170 co-anglers started out fishing Thursday and Friday, hopefull to make the final cut to 12 to fish today. The top 6 anglers from today qualified to fish the FLW All American on the Potomac River in June of next year. Lake of the Ozarks angler Dennis Berhorst finished 6th to qualify and we are so happy that dedicated Bassing Bob Member, Wade Ramsey from Oklahoma finished 2nd. How cool is that. Feldermann, the winning angler reported catching his fish way up the river in shallow water, mostly fishing around docks with a spinner bait. Listen to his audio interview under audio reports. There were a lot of patterns and areas of the lake working these past few days, lots of top water bites, but not real consistent, deep brush and rocky patches with jig and worm, flipping docks with creature baits/jigs and worms and the most dominant moving bait was the chatter bait being fished around shallow docks and shallow big rock banks. |
