Today most anglers reported catching their big fish primarily on the Alabama Rig in the Gravois to the Dam. There was a window of time about 1::00PM that the bass started to bite good. There were also reports of quality bass being caught in the Glaize and Linn Creek to Hurricane Deck Area. Their were quality keepers caught on a finesse jig, the stick bait and wiggle wart in the same areas of the lake, with that bite being better in the morning. The winners reported catching their fish deep, with their boat in 30-35′ of water catching their big bag in 20-25′ of water on the main lake from the Gravois to the dam with the fish close to bottom. There were some fish caught running the A-Rig over the top of brush that was not a dominant pattern. The A-Rig definitely makes a difference as todays weights were much higher today than yesterdays Bassing Bob tournament which does not allow the A-Rig but conditions were substantially similar and many of the same anglers. |
