Bassing Bob Missouri Invitational Pro’s, brothers Brett and Beau Govreau win again with 22.55 pounds of Lake of the Ozarks bass. Brett and Beau won a few weeks ago. Today they reported catching their big bag from the mouth of the Glaize (19mm) to Shawnee Bend area, (10mm) fishing main lake points early and then secondary points in the afternoon on crank baits, swim baits and and jigs. The Triton Boats and Mercury Pro’s reported catching fish shallow in the morning but due to lack of current and wind, they made an adjustment later in the day and caught them deeper in the afternoon. Much like Beau and Brett, others that caught 19-20+ pounds reported catching their quality bass on main lake points deep on jigs, worms, swim baits and crank baits and on secondary points. One team in the money caught all of their big ones on main lake brush piles. Of the anglers that I talked with, most of the quality fish and big bags were caught in the Glaize, Glaize to Shawnee Bend, Gravois and the lower end. Most also reported that due to the slowing of current the bite was well off the bank in 12′-25′ of water on points, secondary points and brush piles around those points on the jig, worm, crank baits and swim baits.
