Today 19 teams took off from PB2 fishing in day 1 the high stakes Bassing Bob Summer Bass Sizzler. Two day tournament with entry fee off $400.00. Some team tomorrow will win $3,750.00. 12 of the 19 teams weighed in over 15 pounds today, which puts everyone on striking distance to win. Plus a 7.96 pounder caught by Bob Renken, a 6.01 pounder caught by Jeremy Medina and several 5 pounders. Most anglers were pretty tight lipped about their bite today. From the anglers that I talked to that shared their pattern, it was about brush piles, main lake points and flipping shallow docks. Jigs, shaky head worms and crank baits were the top baits. Bob Renken caught his 7.96 giant and 3rd place bag going into day 2 on a Crock-o-Gator Shaky Head w Worm Flipping shallow boat docks. Should be a shoot out tomorrow with the majority of the field still in the hunt to win. Last years tournament was won with 36 pounds. Every single team in this tournament knows how to catch big ones and can win. Stay tuned for day 2 tomorrow. |
