All hammers in Joe Bass Tournament today. Roger Fitzpatrick and his so Chase win with 17.87. Roger and Chase reported catching their fish fishing shallow docks in the backs of coves not far from the take off area at the 8mm. Not far from take off could mean from 12mm – the dam, lol. Last weekend Roger won the FLW 2 Day Super Tournament also fishing shallow docks but in the 30mm and other river areas that way. Wow, that is really versatile fishing. Chase and Roger reported catching their fish on jigs and creature baits. The Daneks, that finished 2nd, caught their fish in brush piles from the toll bridge to the Gravois with Jig and Worm. The Daneks are two of the best brush pile fisherman on the lake, but the brush pile bite has been kind of tough this year due to heavy current on the main lake. Scott Jr. said they finally got into some of the brush piles just this week. 3rd Place Nathan and Jamie, fished in and out, which has also been producing some nice bags recently. The flipped some shallow docks with jigs and creature baits and also fished deep points on the lower end with jigs and shaky head worms. Overall, it seems that the lower end of the lake is fishing pretty good for quality bass, but there is a bite on the main lake deep with crank baits, jigs and worms and shallow docks in coves with bait fish on the worm, jig and creature baits around shallow docks. There has also been a top water bite on bluff ledges/points and the backs of coves around structure on the Crock-o-Gator Head Knocker Buzz Bait. |
