Lake of the Ozarks is fishing really tough, when in a 2 day tournament with boaters in FLW from all over the county only takes a 2 day total of 25.9 pounds, the bite is really tough. What is the FLW Wild Card The FLW Wild Card is a tournament for boaters and co-anglers that did not make the top 40 in points to make the their regions regional in points and fished all 5 tournaments in their region, qualify to fish the Wild Card tournament giving the top 6 finishing anglers the opportunity to fish the All-American tournament next year. For those that qualified from their BFL division to fish their regional, the top 6 from those regionals made the All American, there are many FLW divisions around the country. So Lake of the Ozarks was selected for this years Wild Card, sponsored by Bassing Bob company Fish-Intel. Its and honor for any lake in the country to be selected to host the Wild Card event as the anglers fishing it come from all over the country. Nearly every state in the USA were represented in this years FLW Wild Card event on lake of the Ozarks. The Best Bite Today The anglers I talked to caught bass and some quality fish today on many baits however the best bags of fish were on the Alabama Rig and the Whopper Plopper, both just covering water, plopper on main lake banks and the A-Rig over brush on main lake, secondary points and on creek channel banks all with good wind. Other baits that caught quality fish were on the jig, spinner bait and crank baits, the Spro Rock Crawler and 6th Sense 55. Some reported catching some keepers on the stick bait working it medium to fast over big rock flat banks and along side of docks in steep creeks toward the backs of coves Click here for the full results and weights.
