Tonight was one of the best nights on Lake of the Ozarks, which is evident by the weights brought to the scales by the fifty-seven (57) teams fishing the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament. Apparently the bass were excited with the heavy generation (39,146 cfs) because they were biting the entire 3 1/2 hours of the tournament.
There were thirty, four fish limits weighed with the biggest tipping the scales at 6.35 pounds for big bass of the tournament. There were twelve 3, ten 4 and six 5 pound largemouth weighed. According to most of the anglers their best bite was on jigs, worms and swim baits worked off main lake and secondary points from 10 to 15 feet.
The current lake level is 659.34 with a surface water temperature of 84 degrees.
