Tonight forty-nine (49) teams took out of PB#2 with one thing in mind, win the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament. The weather was perfect, but the big boats were out in force and it was rough, especially in the Osage. The big bite seemed to have disappeared, there weren’t as many 3 and 4 pound bass brought to the scales as there has been, although there were three 5 pound and one toad weighing in at 6.31 pounds for big bass of the tournament. According to some of the anglers their better bite came on worms, jigs and crank baits.
The current lake level is 659.5 with heavy generation. Truman Lake is 708 and according to Ameren Electric the heavy generation will stop in a couple days. The current surface water temperature ranged between 81 and 83 degrees.
