Bassing Bob Member, Jim Morrison, held on today to win the Fall 2021 Big Bass Bash. Jim caught his giant 7.11 pounder fishing the Evergreen Pencil Popper in bone color. Jim caught the winning fish, fishing the top water bait along side a dock mid way in a cove near the dam. Other big fish today were primarily caught on top water (buzz bait and whopper plopper), eFactor Spinner baits, big swim baits, jigs and shaky head worms. Top water baits and spinner baits were fished on the main lake banks, main lake points and along side of docks in creeks with big rocks, all with wind pushing in on the docks, banks and points. There were a variety of bottom baits that caught big fish, mostly the jig, brush hog and shaky head worm fishing around docks. https://midwestfishtournaments.com/bbb-live-leaderboard/ The entire lake showed well, lots of big fish weighed in at all weigh-in locations. Today, Sunday, the bite was a bit better for big fish with many 6 pounders weighed-in, with most of the 6’s being weighed in at Red Oak and Ivey Bend. Linn Creek, Nianguas, Hurricane Deck Bridge and River area produced a lot of big ones today. The lower end of the lake, where most of the fishing pressure is also produced some big fish, 5+ pounders all weekend, however the Hurricane Deck Bridge Area and river really showed out good today. Congratulations to the 100+ Bassing Bob Members that caught money fish this weekend. |
