Twenty-seven boats tackled Lake of the Ozarks for the fourth Freshwater FX Fishing Series tournament on Saturday, January 29th. The Lake yielded twelve limits and four bass over 6 lbs.
Congratulations to Nick Edwards and Kevin Brown for taking first place! Nick and Kevin went full fat sack with 20.57 lbs. to earn $1,305 for first and picked up an additional $500 in side pot money for a total of $1,805. Their bag was anchored by a 6.67 lbs. beauty.
The team of Lawson Hibdon and Connar Hibdon slammed 19.05 lbs. onto the scales for second place. The duo earned themselves $786.
No strangers to the check line in this series, Keith and Roger Labarge found the right fish for 17.37 lbs. and a third place finish. They had one bass check in at 6.16 lbs. They walked away with another $524.
Boat issues only temporarily slowed down the team of Eric Dearduff and Steve Varner. Their limit topped out at 16.80 lbs., good enough for fourth place and $200.
Adam Pritchard and Cliff Wolf brought a solid limit to the scales. Their best five went for 15.74 lbs. and earned them fifth place and $150.
The first team out of the money received gift cards from series sponsor Pattern Tackle. The team of Shawn Kemper and David Conner finished with 15.37 lbs. and earned the $50 in gift cards. In addition to the gift cards, their 6.73 lbs. fatty took Big Bass honors, earning them another $270.
