Twenty-four of the twenty-nine qualified teams raced around the Lake of the Ozarks for the Freshwater FX Fishing Series Championship on Saturday, February 19th. Over half of the field dropped five fish limits onto the scale. Major congrats to Cole McFarland and Ryan Jordan for earning first place! Cole and Ryan went full throttle for 20.71 lbs. to earn $2,924 for first place and picked up an additional $460 in side pot money for a total of $3,384. The team of Casey McTaggart and Chris Embry slammed 19.17 lbs. onto the scale for second place, which included a 7.19 lbs. monster (caught on an A-rig) for Big Bass. The duo earned themselves $1,462 for second place and an extra $240 for Big Bass, bringing their total to $1,702. Cliff Wolf and Adam Pritchard located and caught a solid bag weighing 18.58 lbs. that earned them a third place finish. They took home a check for $730. Lawson and Connar Hibdon saw their limit register 16.21 lbs. on the scale, good enough for fourth place. The brothers walked away with $364 for their finish. The first team out of the money received gift cards from series sponsor Pattern Tackle. The team of Robbie Thompson and Kasey Parks finished with 15.09 lbs. and earned the $50 in gift cards.
