Tonight there were forty-four (44) teams fishing the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament despite the muddy water, especially the Grand Glaize arm, and the debris floating because of the recent rains and the discharge from Truman Lake. The lake level is 658.83 and is slowly rising.
The bass in the mid lake are getting on beds and are being caught from 5 to 8 feet on jigs buzz baits and creature baits. A lot of male bass, 13 to 15 inches, are being caught and very few of the larger females. The water temperature ranges from 67 to 70 degrees. There were just eleven teams weighing limits with three 3 pound, three 4 pound and one 5 pound bass brought to the scales.
Next week, May 18, will be the Bass Cat Quest sponsored by BoatWrx of Osage Beach, MO and Bass Cat Boats of Mountain Home. Ar.
