The forty-five (45) teams fishing the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament lucked out with the weather, the heavy storms hit south and it was a perfect night for fishing. The bass were biting and it was evident by the weights brought to the scales by the twenty-five teams with a four fish limit.
According to some of the anglers jigs, swimbaits and crankbaits worked on main lake and secondary points were the baits that they caught their fish on. There were three 3, seven 4 and five 5 pound bass, not counting the two pounders weighed.
The current surface water temperature is 70 degrees an the water clarity is dingy with visibility of about one foot. Ameren is still releasing water at 36,805.79 cfs. The current lake level is 658.83.
