According to Tournament Director, Greg West, most anglers reported catching quality bass on top water baits, whopper plopper, pencil popper and buzz bait shallow on main lake, behind docks and backs of creeks, also bottom bait, the jig and shaky head, shallow around boat docks, behind docks and under docks. One team had a nice bag with 5 keepers on a heavier jig deeper on points in 15-20′ of water. Quality bass were caught all over the lake, there does not seem to be any area of the lake that is fishing any better than another. The bite continues to be tough. But with the cooler nights and some rain coming in early this week, that should all change. |
