Tonight there were forty-five teams fishing the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament and the winning team was Matt Schellert & Ron Lehrmann with a four fish limit of 15.66 pounds. There were fourteen limits brought to the scales. The bigger bass are still not showing up like they should be this time of the year. A lot of 14 and 15 inch bass are being caught, which wont get you in the check line.
The lake is slowly on the rise (656.92) and the surface water temperature in the mid-lake area during the day is 63 degrees, but once the sun set the temperature drops to 58 degrees.
According to some of the anglers they caught bass on jigs, spinner bait, Carolina rig 6 to 9 feet and pitching behind docks. There was one 6 pound bass weighed for big bass of the tournament, four, 5 pound one, 4 pound and three, 3 pound bass brought to the scales.
