There is no doubt the dog days of summer are here. The temperature was 96 degrees with no wind to speak of. at take-off, which is one of he reasons there were only twenty-one teams fishing, plus the big bite is tough. The bass are in brush any where from 12 to 20 feet. There were only four limits brought to scales. Most of the anglers said they caught several 13 and 14 inch bass, but the keepers were hard to come. There were only two 4 pound, two 3 pound and one 5.86 pound bass weighed.
According to some the anglers there best bite came on worm, brush hogs and jigs. The surface water temperature finally reached the 90’s. The current lake level is 659.44 with light generation.
