How they were catching them:

I spent the day at PB2 weigh in location asking anglers about their bite and I talked to anglers this evening as well.

The majority of the quality fish were caught primarily on jigs, varying sizes/colors and a good five pounder caught on a Dirks Jig.   Thats one of the things the Hibdons and Jack say, is the when the bite is tough downsize and for a jig, its hard to beat a Dirks jig to catch big fish.  The worm both Texas rigged and on shaky head caught quality fish.  Top water caught some good one, the buzz bait followed by the Whopper Plopper other baits mentioned was spinner bait, stick bait, crank bait and glide bait.

Most anglers reported having a tough day.  Most of them not a lot of bites and not many quality fish.  About half or so reported catching their fish deep 12’15’ and shallow, some around docks and some out of brush.

Overall, it seems to me that the bite was really tough, likely due to the high pressure that came through last night.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

The majority of the fish were weighed in at Alhonna and Red Oak, each weighed the same number of money fish, followed by PB2, Point Randal then Ivy Bend.
