Fishing Notes

Today I only fished 2.5 hours from 5:00PM to 7:30PM. I fished in the mid Osage. Based on a tip from one of Bassing Bob experts, I fished the last couple of docks in the backs of coves, fishing into the darkest shaded areas possible with a jig. That approach landed 5 short fish, most of which were shallow behind the docks in shade and brush/sticks/trees, etc. The 2 quality bass 16 and 17″ bass came on bluff end points around bluffy rock on the shaky head with the senco, worked slowly around the rocks on the bottom in about 15′ of water. There were lots of very small bait fish schools on the points, perhaps due to the medium generation from the dam. My expert, Jack Uxa of Jacks Guide Service, reported catching numbers of bass in the early morning on points and sea walls with small top water baits.
