Fishing Notes

I fished today from 2:00PM to 8:00PM. I committed myself to fishing the final two docks and the shallow water in the very back of coves. I fished about 5 coves at the 18MM without great success (only one small keeper). For the most part I focused on shady sides of docks and dock wells, fishing with the jig, texas rigged worm, rattle trap and jerkbait when there was any wind. I also dragged the worm and jig through brush piles. However, that bite was just not there today. There were plenty of bait fish close by, but there was not much shade on these docks, which may have been a factor. I do have confidence that this pattern can and will produce over the coming days/weeks, especially with overcast skies and more wind. Jack Uxa, Jacks Guide Service www.fishinglakeoftheoazarks.com reported catching about 12 bass and some nice keepers this morning, fishing early with top water and then the jerk bait on points with wind and bait fish. If you fish, please send us your fishing report through bassingbob forums or at info@bassingbob.com and we will post your report.
