Fishing Notes |
---|
After we have had so many reports of catching bass deep off main lake points due to the heavy dam generation, I wanted to try something a bit different to see what other bites are out there. So, I started on secondary points leading into small pockets/little coves just inside of the secondary points with the intent of dragging a worm along the sides of docks to feel for brush piles and to watch my 360 imaging for open water brush piles, I caught a nice 3+ pounder on a 15′ brush pile and another small keeper doing the same. I also am wanting to practice skipping baits under docks in between the black floats. The skipping practice while very early, is in preparation for the September FLW event on Lake O, as I am sure that will be a part of my game plan. I skipped Kietech Crazy Flapper on COG Keeper Head around the last few docks in those little pockets and caught a four pounder. That bite was not really great today, but the bass are definitely in brush piles and are biting the big worm pretty good. |
