Starting fishing around 6:15 am this morning and only fished 2 1/2 hours. Figured with water temps cooling off I would throw the buzzbait . No surprise after a few cast they were exploding on the Crock O Gator black buzz bait with red head. Fished main points and bluffs from 3mm from dam to approx the 5mm. I really targeted shade and lone docks on bluffs and points. My son did catch one with a Chomper but the buzzbait seemed to be the bite this morning. Water temp was around 71-73, really had cooled off from cooler temps and the rain lately. Boated nine fish with three keepers , one 3lbs. While no monsters I really love the top water bite and it probably won’t be around for much longer. Fun morning! |
