Fishing Notes |

Was excited to hit the water after the long drive up from Austin on Monday, and waiting out the rain yesterday. Hit the water this morning around 9A, and headed for the 500 Yard small bluff section starting at the mouth of the Gravois toward the dam. Quickly caught two small fish on a Carolina-rigged watermellon fluke in about 15 feet of water. Saw lots of baitfish and stacked fish on my graphs, but bite basically stopped around 11A. Headed into the Gravois and tried several spots, throwing the c-rig fluke, square bill, worm, shakey head, and jig. Finally hooked up with a small fish on a dark jig on the outside edge of a dock about halfway into a cove showing some baitfish. Slow overall. Hopefully a better day tomorrow. Love this place. My paradise. |
