Event Details
Old Kinderhook and Bassing Bob are hosting the 8th Annual Missouri Invitational Fish and Golf Pro/Am Tournament, a unique fishing and golf competition that provides amateur fisherman with the opportunity to fish and golf with Pro Fisherman at Lake of the Ozarks. The Pro/Am team will compete for a guaranteed pot of $30,000.00+ with multiple places paid for top teams each day of the event and multiple places for overall top teams. The amateur with the biggest bass in the tournament will we awarded $1,000 in cash.
The competition will be held at Old Kinderhook starting with a happy hour, heavy appetizers, live auction, pairings, rules review and rubbing elbows with the Pro’s on Tuesday, November 12th starting at 6:00 p.m. The competition will kick-off with lines in on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. fishing with your Pro. Followed by BBQ cook-out Wednesday night at Old Kinderhook. On Thursday November 14th, you will play 18 holes of scramble golf with your fishing pro and a randomly assigned golf pro. Thursday night is on your own to enjoy many of the Lake of the Ozarks restaurants or just hang around the resort and relax. On Friday, November 15th you will fish with your Pro, lines in at 8:00 with the final weigh-in at 4:15. The awards ceremony will follow immediately after the weigh-in.
Amateur fisherman will be able to participate in the competition and all the scheduled events for a fee of $1,200.00. The $1,200.00 registration fee will include Tuesday nights happy hour/heavy appetizers/auction, two days of fishing with a pro fisherman and 18 holes of golf, including greens fees and cart with your fishing pro and a designated golf pro. Buffet Breakfast will be provided Wednesday morning and Friday morning prior to take off at the lodge and coffee and donuts on Thursday before golf.
Amateur fisherman will be paired with a fishing pro for the three days of the competition. Pairings will be finalized on Tuesday evening November 12th, after the live/silent auction (see auction details). A part of the additional money generated from the auctions will be added to the pot for the competition. Those that choose not to participate in the auction will be randomly assigned a fishing Pro.
The auction includes a live and silent auction. There will be 12 rounds of live auction bidding. The highest bidder from each of the 12 rounds will select their pro. After 12 rounds of live auction, we will ask any amateurs if they would like to purchase their pro for $1000 and if more than one amateur wants a pro they will go up for auction. After the live auction pairings are complete, the remaining pros will be auctioned through the silent auction process. After the silent auction, remaining pros and co-anglers will be randomly assigned. We will provide more details of the auction process at the event.
Pro Fisherman Participants
Many of last years pro fisherman will be returning this year including prior year winners Mark Wiese, Jr., Beau Govreau, Andy Newcomb, Chuck Austin, and Marcus Sykora along with regional and national pros James Watson, Todd Goade, Casey Scanlon, Mike McClelland, Justin McClelland, Dan Morehead, Dion Hibdon, Lawson Hibdon, Payden Hibdon, Dirk Sluyter, Roger Fitzpatrick, Dennis Berhorst, James Dill, Terry Blankenship, Kelly Power, Brent Algeo, Michael Harlin, Brad Jelinek, Brock Reinkemier, Eric Oliverson with additional pro anglers are being invited. We will update you with pro angler commitments.
Over time we will share with the committed and paid amateur co-anglers the fishing profile of the pro anglers.
Scoring and Pay-Out
The payout for the event will be determined by an accumulated points system. The total points accumulated from the two days of fishing total weight and 18 holes of scramble golf. Golf will be scored at 1/2 pound for a par, 1 pound for a birdie and 2 pounds for an eagle, with a 2 putt maximum format per hole. Don’t worry about your golfing skills as each team will be paired with a golf Pro. The golf Pro assignments will be random.
Multiple places will be paid for top weights/scores for each day in addition to multiple places paid to the overall top weight. The final pay-out pot amount after expenses, will be determined based on the incremental money collected from the auction.

Old Kinderhook has a discounted nightly rate for amateurs participating in the event. Must call and reserve your room by November 4th for special rates. You are not however obligated to stay at Old Kinderhook.
