The past few weeks the bass fishing has been very tough and today was no exception. The anglers took off at 8:00AM from Robins Resort, after 7.5 hours of tough fishing, 5 boats weighed in fish. As the Bassing Bob tournament does not allow the Alabama Rig, it was expected that the weights would be down. These fisherman that caught bass on the jig and jerk bait are the real deal fisherman to catch fish when the bass are just not biting very well. I hope that you will be able to join us for our final winter tournament on Sunday February 9th. While we will crown a tournament series championship team, the tournament will include our regular pay-out format (no need to qualify to fish), the championship is an additional pot for which we have allocated 5% of entries from each tournament to the championship pot. So, come fish with us, but leave the A-Rig at home and let your true fishing skills put a check in your pocket, including unique payouts for a slot prize based in the closest to 5 pounds off the winning weight, big bass payout and lowest weight for 5 keepers, in addition to pay outs for the top 3 weights. It will also be fun to see how our three leaders fair for the champions pot, as of now, there are only a few pounds that separate our leaders from the third place team. Game on for the championship pot and game on for some good winter fishing without the A-Rig. We hope to see you on the 9th. |
